Terms and conditions

Last updated 2026-09-23. These terms govern your use of the Sterling Tour and Travel website, mobile app and booking services. By creating an account or making a booking you agree to them.

Who we are

Sterling Tour and Travel is an IATA-accredited travel agent. We sell flight tickets issued by airlines under their own conditions of carriage. The airline, not Sterling Tour and Travel, operates the flight.

Bookings and payment

• A booking is confirmed only when payment has cleared and an e-ticket has been issued. A held itinerary without payment expires at the time shown and is released automatically.
• Prices are shown in Ethiopian birr or US dollars and include the taxes and fees stated at checkout. Exchange rates are disclosed before you confirm.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of passenger names and travel documents. Name corrections after ticketing follow the airline's rules and may carry a fee.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

What can be changed or refunded, and at what cost, is set by the fare rules of the ticket you bought. We show those rules before you commit and apply them when you request a change. See the Refund policy for details.

Travel documents

You must hold valid passports, visas and health documents for every country on your itinerary. Airlines may deny boarding without them and no refund is due in that case.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the service you bought from us. Carriage by air is subject to the Montreal Convention and the airline's conditions of carriage.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes are settled by the courts of Addis Ababa.
